We encourage you to open your bed package immediately! The longer the headboard is kept packaged, the longer it will take to expand. Since the headboard is made of 100% foam, it does not attach to the bed frame. Simply place it against your wall, then push the bed frame directly against the headboard to hold it in place.
The Crown Bed will arrive in several neatly packaged boxes: Bed Frame, Headboard, and possibly more if you’ve added a mattress, pillows, or bedding! The headboard will be tightly compressed in a cylinder inside a Coley Home box, wrapped in a white protective cover, and your custom slipcover will be folded in a dust bag. We encourage you to open the package immediately to allow the foam time to breathe. The longer the foam is compressed, the longer it will take to return to its original shape.
Once you’ve discarded the recyclable plastic that compressed the headboard, let the foam expand fully by laying it flat in an open space. Keep the white protective cover on, and allow the foam to breathe for a few hours to regain its shape. While waiting for the foam, you can unpack your Coley Home slipcover. It will arrive folded, with minimal creasing—though we recommend using a steamer if needed!
Next, stand the headboard upright and begin applying the slipcover over the foam. We recommend starting by lining up the center point at the top, adjusting the sides, and then gently tugging the slipcover over the foam. Don't worry, it should be tight—just keep pulling!
Once the slipcover is over the foam, lay the foam flat and align the bottom corners. You'll notice a zipper along the bottom edge. This should be tight, so be sure to pull it snugly.
Zip the cover completely, place the headboard against your wall, and voilà!

Our Crown Bed Frame is a fully upholstered platform frame made from responsibly harvested engineered hardwoods, with 100% oak legs. The bed frame features two sets of slats made from engineered hardwood beams, all encased in a protective fabric cover.
Our frames are built with responsibly harvested engineered hardwood, featuring interlocking glued joints and corner blocks for added durability.
The legs are crafted from 100% oak, sanded, sealed, stained, and finished by hand.
None of the foam used in our products contain flame retardants. All of our products are TB117-2013 compliant.
Spot clean upholstery immediately after any spills or stains occur by blotting the area using a mild solvent and clean cloth. Allow the area to air dry naturally. Slipcovers may be dry cleaned or machine washed if the fabric permits.

Shipping
We’re pleased to offer complimentary threshold delivery with every order. This service includes delivery of your item(s) to a secure, accessible location on your property, such as a front porch. Please note that threshold delivery does not include bringing items inside your home, garage, or into a specific room.
If the delivery carrier provides any upgraded services at the time of delivery, the associated charges will be invoiced separately after the fact.

At checkout, you’ll have the option to request a White Glove Delivery Quote, which includes in-home delivery and setup. Please be aware that selecting this premium service may extend your delivery timeline by 2–4 weeks.

Returns & Made-to-Order Policy
Because each piece is made-to-order, we are only able to accept returns in cases of manufacturing defects or quality issues.
We kindly ask that you inspect your item upon delivery and report any damage or concerns immediately—both to the delivery carrier and to our team at hello@coleyhome.com.

Both are beautifully made, fully customizable beds, but they're built differently and suit different needs.
The Crown Bed is our signature quick-ship bed. It features features a patented foam headboard that ships compressed in a box, making it easy to carry upstairs and assemble yourself. It has six iconic headboard shapes and ships in as little as 10–15 business days. It's a great choice if you want your bedroom ready sooner, or if ease of delivery and setup is a priority. The Crown Collection ships via UPS if it’s less than 2, and will go freight if you order 2 or more.
The Claremont Bed our hardwood platform bed collection — a more traditional construction with a solid hardwood frame and a fully upholstered headboard. It comes in seven distinct headboard shapes, giving you a lot more design flexibility, and also allows for contrast welt and contrast border customizations. It has our standard week lead time and will ship via our freight carrier.

Your Twin or Queen Crown Bed will arrive in two boxes - one for the headboard and one for the frame. Your King Bed will arrive in three boxes - two for the frame and one for the headboard. All boxes are sized to be easily carried up stairs, unpacked, and assembled in any room.
The Crown Headboard arrives compressed - our patented headboard is made of 100% durable foam. We recommend opening it as soon as possible after delivery; the longer it stays compressed, the longer it will take to fully re-form.
The Crown Bed Frame arrives in a long rectangular box and comes with easy, illustrated step-by-step assembly instructions.
Our headboards are made of 100% foam, that’s how we get them so compact! They are guaranteed to be resilient, that being said, we recommend opening your headboard as soon as you receive it, and lay it flat for at least 24 hours. That time period will allow the foam to completely re-form and help with the process of applying the slipcover! The longer the foam is boxed up, the longer it will take to regain its original shape. Our Crown Headboards do not attach to a bed frame. They are intended to stand up flush against a flat wall and are supported by the mattress and bed frame.

But, if you’re totally obsessed with your current frame situation, we crafted the headboard to fit against that as well. We cannot guarantee a perfect fit for every single bed frame or rail set on the market, but if you want to be sure- we suggest ordering a bed frame along with your headboard here. Because our headboard is 100% foam, it does not attach in any way to bed frames.

Lead times will vary slightly week to week, due to influx of orders. We do our best to keep our lead times between 8-9 weeks. Orders will go into production the next business day.
Shipping lead times depend on shipping method and delivery location.
FOR ORDERS WITH DIFFERENT LEAD TIMES: If your order contains both a Quick Ship item and a Standard Lead Time week item, the entire order will be scheduled and ship together after the 8 week production window is complete. If you want Quick Ship items shipped within 10-15 business days, please separate your orders accordingly.
FOR COM ORDERS: COM lead times will begin once we receive and inspect your fabric at our plant. Your order will then be produced according to the lead time listed on the product description. Please allow for an additional 2-5 business days for inspection.
It is our top priority to produce your piece of furniture as efficiently as possible while still maintaining our highest quality standards for your one-of-a-kind piece. Any delays in production will be communicated by our team as soon as possible.
