Our Furniture

Where is your furniture produced?

Our furniture is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Claremont, North Carolina! We have a talented, dedicated team at our manufacturing plant, who all have decades of expertise in the furniture industry. From Product Development to Packing & Shipping, we do it all!

How do you ensure a quality product?

Since we have our own manufacturing plant, we control all aspects of what materials we use and how our products are created. Each piece goes through tests and checks to guarantee lasting style and comfort. From start to finish, our careful team has eyes on our pieces. We quality check each and every piece from cutting all the way to packing and shipping.

What should I know about buying custom furniture online?

Our pieces are created using high quality materials and covered in beautiful fabrics. Because each piece is made-to-order and designed by you, we cannot accept returns unless there is a manufacturing issue or shipping damage. 

We highly recommend ordering a set of swatches and measuring your space prior to making your furniture purchase.

Because each piece is handcrafted rather than mass-produced, there may be some variances from piece to piece. Our wooden legs are made of solid oak and hand stained. Slight color variations are to be expected, due to natural wood grains. 

Fabric dye lots may vary: slight differences in texture, color, or appearance among fabrics may be found, for example between swatches and furniture pieces.

HOW do you order?

Our website is the best place for you to order! Select your product and your fabrics through our customizer and order all online. Our team will be able to send you updates much easier this way.

Is your furniture made using toxic chemicals?

We're incredibly selective about what goes into each and every product. Because we manufacture our own goods, we have complete control over who we source from and how we pick our materials.  The majority of our materials, except for some fabrics, are sourced within 100 miles of our location, cutting down on emissions and fuel consumption.

Are all of your pieces available in all fabrics?

We do not allow any of our velvets to be used on our slipcovered pieces. To make this easier, we’ve taken this option off of these pieces. You will only be able to order fabrics that we are sure work well on our furniture through our customizer.

Does Coley home ever have sales?

No, we do not offer sales or seasonal promotions. We do this to ensure we are focusing on the best possible value every day, not just a few days out of the year. You will always be getting the best price this way. We feel this is a more transparent way to sell our furniture, and we can be sure we’re always putting our customers first.

Do you have a designer program?

Yes, we have a Trade Program exclusively for designers! We’d love to have you as a member, sign up here.

Will i receive all items in my order at the same time?

Yes, your pieces will be shipped together. Because we have different lead times for each piece, the longest lead time in your order will be the standard. This means if you order a 10-day piece and an 8-week piece, your order will be shipped all together once the 8-week piece is finished. If you would like your pieces to arrive separately, you will need to place a separate order.

Where can I see my previous orders?

Create an account with us! It’s completely free, and it allows you to easily access previous orders and tracking information. Click the person icon in the top right corner to sign in or create an account.

How do I get a discount on my first order?

Sign up for our email newsletter to receive an exclusive code to get 10% off your first order with Coley Home! Once you sign up for our emails, you'll receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. When you accept this, you'll receive an email that includes your 10% off code. If you do not receive your code by the end of the day, be sure to check your spam/promotions folder!

my swatches haven't shipped out yet, what should I do?

Our swatches are shipped via USPS, so the tracking will take a little longer to update! If your swatches are taking longer than a week to arrive, please reach out to our team. We’d be happy to work with you.

What happens after I submit my order on Coley Home?

Our team immediately gets to work on getting your Coley Home products to you in the most efficient way possible! Your form of payment will be charged once the order is processed, and you will be notified via email of the shipment status.

How long will it take to receive my Coley Home order?

Our Quick Ship Collection, which includes our Crown Bed and other popular furniture pieces will ship in five to ten business days.

The rest of our furniture collection, and all new additions, will ship within four to six weeks from the day the order is entered into production. Our team will be in touch with updates as the completion date approaches.

Please note, if you order an item from our Quick Ship Collection and an item from our 2022 collection, they will ship together once the entire order is completed. If you'd like them to ship separately, get in touch with our team - we're happy to help!

Do i need to create an account to make a purchase?

No, you can complete an order without an account. However, creating an account allows you to save address information and payment details for faster checkout. We will also keep you in the loop about everything Coley Home!

The Crown Bed

How will the crown bed arrive?

Your Twin and Queen Crown Bed will arrive in two boxes. One for the headboard and one for the frame.

Your King Bed Will arrive in three boxes, two with the bed frame and one for the headboard.

The best part about these boxes is that they can easily be carried up stairs, unpacked, and assembled. Trust us – we’ve tested this!

The Crown Headboard will arrive compressed in a box. Our patented headboard is made of 100% durable foam, which we compress in our manufacturing plant. The foam will be wrapped tightly in plastic and expand as soon as the plastic is removed. We recommend laying the headboard flat for 24 hours before applying the slipcover - that way it has time to come back to its full shape! Your slipcover will arrive in the same box, it will fit tightly over the foam headboard, and brighten any room.

We also recommend that you open up the headboard as soon as possible – the longer it is compressed, the longer it will take to return to its original shape.

The third box, the Crown Bed Frame, will arrive in a long rectangular box. Don’t worry – it’ll come with fool-proof directions for easy quick assembly!

Help! My headboard is taking awhile to re-form.

Our headboards are made of 100% foam, that’s how we get them so compact! They are guaranteed to be resilient, that being said, we recommend opening your headboard as soon as you receive it, and lay it flat for at least 24 hours. That time period will allow the foam to completely re-form and help with the process of applying the slipcover! The longer the foam is boxed up, the longer it will take to regain its original shape.

Will my Crown Headboard fit my current bed frame or rails?

We encourage customers to fully indulge in the Coley Home Bed Collection for the perfect fit. But, if you’re totally obsessed with your current frame situation, we crafted the headboard to fit against that as well. We cannot guarantee a perfect fit for every single bed frame or rail set on the market, but if you want to be sure- we suggest ordering a bed frame along with with your headboard here. Because our headboard is 100% foam, it does not attached in any way to bed frames.

Our Materials & Care

How do I care for my custom furniture?

For upholstered furniture:

Vacuum monthly to remove dirt, dust, and pet hair.

We recommend flipping and rotating each cushion twice monthly for even wear. When flipping, give them a good shake-down to ensure even distribution.

Avoid contact with items that may transfer color

For more information on how to care for each fabric, please refer to our Care Guide.

For wood:

Avoid excessive prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high temps and high humidity as these environments can cause damage to both the wood and wood finish.

ARe all cushions fully upholstered?

Yes, all of our cushions are fully upholstered, which means they can be flipped for easy maintenance and long lasting comfort.

What makes your fabric special?

We’ve compiled a selection of 80+ fabrics for you to choose from, and we’ve sourced them from the finest mills around the world. We have several performance fabrics, and a wide array of colors to perfectly fit your taste. We also have rotating prints, which we continually update and refresh to match trends and styles we love. Some of our prints are exclusive to Coley Home and printed in the US!

What are performance fabrics?

Performance fabrics are those that feature technologies that offer stain resistance and odor repellent. They are treated to repel liquid spills and can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water. These fabrics are great for busy homes!

How do I clean my fabric?

I don't see a fabric that I have seen in the past. Is it still available?

We are constantly updating our fabrics, especially our prints, so that our collection is fresh. Look out for “Last Call” next to fabrics that we will be phasing out. Feel free to email us at hello@coleyhome.com

if you are looking for something specific, and we will let you know if it is available to custom order.

Lead Times

How long are your lead times?

Our lead times will depend on the piece of furniture. For our Crown Bed and some smaller furniture pieces, the lead time is 10 business days. For all of our new furniture and larger pieces, the lead time is 8 weeks. Each piece will list the lead time on its product page, and we keep this up to date!

If you decide to order a fabric that is currently out of stock, your lead time will begin once we receive the fabric. Because we cannot guarantee restock dates, you are at a risk of longer lead times than expected.

How do you keep your lead times so short?

We source as many materials as possible from local vendors to ensure we keep our lead times and our environmental impact as small as possible. We stock our fabric to ensure you have your beautiful piece in your home fast!

Buying Furniture

How do i know the best fabric for my space?

Order our swatches to check the fabric in your home! Each home and room has its own lighting and colors, so we offer six free swatches to help you make the best decisions. We’re also happy to help with any design questions you may have.

How do I ensure my piece will fit in my home?

See our Dimension Guide to ensure our pieces will fit in your home and can be successfully delivered. Please note, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on furniture that we are unable to deliver due to sizing issues.

Do you have seasonal sales or promotions?

We do not have seasonal sales or promotions. We offer the best price all year round, that way you can buy when it’s convenient for you! We feel this is the best way to be transparent about our pieces and our costs.

 

Shipping & Delivery

What is your return policy?

Because each piece is made-to-order, we are only able to accept returns for manufacturing issues and shipping damages. We highly suggest ordering a free set of swatches before placing your furniture order.

Please note:

We cannot accept returns or exchanges on pieces that have sizing/fit issues in your home.

We cannot accept returns or exchanges on pieces that have been altered or customized in any way post delivery.

Damage reported after 30 days may not be eligible for repair and replacements. Please email hello@coleyhome.com with a summary of the damage and photos.

What will I pay for shipping?

Our prices include shipping! Our Standard Freight Delivery means your furniture will be delivered to your door. It will not be brought inside and unpacked. If you would like to upgrade to Inside Freight Delivery, we will quote you for this additional cost. Please note: we do not offer Inside Freight Delivery for the Crown Bed and small chairs.

Where do you ship?

We offer complimentary shipping (UPS Ground or freight threshold delivery) to the contiguous USA.

Can I delay my order?

Yes, we can hold production, but we cannot hold orders for more than 30 days once completed. If you have an install date or desired delivery date, please let us know and we will schedule our production accordingly. Please denote your desired delivery date in the notes and email hello@coleyhome.com with the same information.

What happens if my furniture arrives damaged?

Damages to your furniture while in transit, or defects in manufacturing, are rare but do occur. If your piece arrives with a defect or damage, we will do our best to fix the problem or send a replacement. Please fully inspect your furniture before you sign off with the shipping company. If you see any damages, please contact us immediately, with a description of the damage and photos. Please do not sign off on a piece of furniture until you have fully inspected it. Shipping damages will not be covered once the piece has been signed for.

A refund will not be issued for custom furniture unless it is damaged or defective.

Order Changes & Cancellations

How do I cancel my order?

Our orders are sent to manufacturing as soon as possible to ensure your furniture is completed in our lead time. Because of this, cancellations are only allowed within the first 24 hours of the order placement. After this time, changes or cancellations are not possible. Please email hello@coleyhome.com or call our Charlotte office to make changes.

Can I make changes to my order after it has been placed? Is it possible to cancel an order?

To keep our lead times short, we begin production as soon as your order has been placed – meaning that the frames are being handcrafted and the fabric is cut. Any changes or cancellations must be made within 24 hours of placing your order. Fees may apply to any changes or cancellations after this time.

 

Warranty

What is your warranty policy?

We are confident in the quality and construction of our products. We offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty for our pieces, but the warranty does not cover damage as a result of misuse, abuse, accident, commercial or instructional use, or freight damage. Slight variations in size, scale, and padding may occur due to the handmade quality of our product. This warranty does not cover these types of variances.

What do I do if I believe my product is defective?

Please take photos of the problem areas, along with the box it arrived in, and email these to hello@coleyhome.com with your order number and information. Damage reported after 30 days may not be eligible for repair and replacements. Please do not sign off on a piece of furniture until you have fully inspected it for any damages.
