Sustainability

At Coley Home we make strides to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible. Our mission is to create beautiful, well-made pieces that will stand the test of time, and to care for our community and environment. All of our furniture is made-to-order by hand, reducing the waste from mass-produced, unsold furniture. Our incredibly talented team has decades of experience in the furniture industry, crafting beautiful, well-made pieces for your home. Because we manufacture our own goods, we have complete control over who we source from and how we pick our materials.  The majority of our materials, except for some fabrics, are sourced within 100 miles of our location, cutting down on emissions and fuel consumption. All of this allows us to sustain local jobs and support our local communities.

Let’s take a look at what makes our materials special!

FOAM

Foam is featured in all of our upholstery, so it's one of the most important things that we source locally. We use CertiPUR-US® foam in addition to Soy Polyols in our bedding and upholstered furniture pieces. CertiPUR-US® foam has been tested to meet the CertiPUR-US® rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability.

Our foam is sourced locally and is...

✻ Made without ozone depletes

✻ Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants

✻ Made without mercury, lead and heavy metals

✻ Made without formaldehyde

✻ Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

✻ Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission

WOOD

The wood in each of our frames is responsibly harvested and our finishes are low VOC, reducing the amount of harsh chemicals put into the environment. Once your order has been placed, our team begins to build your frame!

SINUOUS SPRINGS

All of our sinuous springs are made of 80% recycled metal preserving our earth’s natural resources and cutting combustion.

SHIPPING

We direct ship the majority of our product to the end user, cutting out the middleman to reduce emissions and fuel once again.
