Meet Rachel, one of the creators behind Follow the Find! She and her friend, Laura, started Follow the Find in 2018 and have grown their community of savvy shoppers ever since! Read on to learn more about Rachel and how she used our Porter Side Table in her home!
Laura and I met as neighbors on a sorority hall at Clemson University, so you can imagine that our tastes and lives have changed drastically over the years, but we’ve remained friends ever since! We’ve had so much fun creating this business and followthefind.com together. We have always had a love for sourcing fashion and interiors and love the thrill of the hunt. We currently live in the Carolinas. As our families have expanded, we are both now renovating and decorating our "forever" homes - come along with us!
Laura and I were both decorating our first homes after graduation - we seemed to always share our finds with each other. We started a spreadsheet of "Looks for Less" to see how many we could accumulate and to keep track of for our own reference. It was a fun challenge for us, that we then visualized and began sharing on Instagram and Followthefind.com.
We started in 2018, so our lives have changed drastically since we began. What started as a hobby during our evenings and weekends has now become a business for us. The balance is just that - we have seasons where we can pour a lot of our free time into our work and others where we don't have as much time.We give ourselves and each other grace, and keep it light and fun!

The Porter Side Table is such a unique piece! At the time of selection, I was in the middle of a move and not quite sure where it would land. I chose the larger size because I knew that I would utilize it for a desk for occasional remote work. I tend to decorate with larger scale florals, so I knew that a more tailored stripe would be a great pairing. And, of course blue is always a winner for me!

We shop and browse a lot! Some of our best finds are things we are shopping for ourselves. We also are inspired by our followers who frequently reach out with requests for looks for less. It becomes a domino effect where we shop for requests, then see other items while we search, then connect the dots across retailers.

Too many to name! Would love to do a family trip through the Pacific Northwest, an adult trip to Blackberry Farm, and a summertime Switzerland and Northern Italy adventure.
