Tell us about yourselves & how you got to where you are today!

Hi! I’m a mama of two kiddos, Brooks (8) and Blakely (3). My absolute pride and joys in life. Residing in Beaufort, SC. I have always had a passion for design and aesthetic of the home. Making my house a home and constantly changing things, I was encouraged by my mom to maybe pursue this love of decorating and offer a service that would allow me to stay home with my kids while also doing something for me. That is when I began offering e-design interior decorating consults and it has been wildly successful since 2022. I began by sharing my own home design and projects and it has since evolved into working with over 150 clients since! Helping my clients curate a space that is truly theirs has been so fun to do.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

I would describe my design aesthetic as simply traditional. I love the mix of old and new and prefer a space that is bright, airy and simplistic. Bringing in old, vintage or antique pieces brings so much warmth, interest and dimension to a space. I also LOVE to pattern mix. Creating interest with wallpaper, bamboo furniture pieces and framed art are another way I like to bring dimension and texture to a space but nothing that is too overly fussy. I could play around with textiles all day long! Ultimately the goal is always to create a space that reflects my clients interests and needs.

You recently selected two Mia Ottomans in Ticking, Rose Petal for your little girl’s room - Walk us through the design process!

Designing my daughter's space was a true labor of love. Lots of schemes were played around with and I landed on a fabric that I just knew would be the perfect starting point for the space. Building off that pillow fabric led me to the Ticking, Rose Petal from Coley Home. It was the perfect shade of pink, a beautifully thick cotton/linen blend and just the right ticking stripe pattern. I wanted this to be in the forefront of the space because I adored it so much and knew that they would be the perfect element for the end of her bed. Between the curved legs and the beautiful welt, they were most definitely the piece that brought the space together.

What is the most requested product from your followers?

Requests I get a lot from my followers are guidance on fabric pairings. They see the beautiful schemes on my page and just don't know how to do that on their own. They know what they like but they can't execute it. That's where I step in. Helping them tie their drapes in with a coordinating pillow fabric, wallpaper or paint selection is just an example of that.

What are your favorite areas to splurge when decorating your home, and favorite places to save?

Hands down my favorite area to splurge on is lighting. It truly is the jewelry of your home and great lighting will never go out of style. It will stay in your home for years to come. When speaking of ways to save, my initial thoughts are area rugs. I love the neutral and timeless look of a sisal rug. It pairs so well with so many design aesthetics and there are so many affordable options to choose from.

What are your go to places to find inspiration?

This may be very old school but I utilize Pinterest a lot for inspiration along with following and fangirling over very talented and seasoned Interior Designers such as Nels Crosthwaite Eyre, Meg Braff, and Alison Hammatt.

What is your current favorite paint color?

My current favorite paint color is Benjamin Moore Simply White. This is the perfect creamy, warm white for any space.

Favorite fall recipe?

I am a White Chicken Chili lover. I love soups of any kind and it becomes my main form of sustenance come the colder months. You just can't beat a warm bowl of soup at the end of a cold day!

Favorite book or TV show at the moment?

I personally do not watch a ton of TV or read but if there is a book in my hands it's usually a design book such as “The Art of Gracie” by Jennifer Gracie or Suzanne Kaslers “Edited Style.”
