Our custom headboard is made of durable foam and covered in a custom slipcover. Design possibilities are endless with our six different shapes and 70+ fabrics. For additional customization, add a contrast welt to your design. Our headboard arrives at your door compressed in a manageable box. Because our headboard is 100% foam and does not attach to the bed frame, it is compatible with most standard bed frames when placed directly against the wall.
PLEASE NOTE:If your order includes an item with a lead time of six weeks, your order will ship together once all items are completed, unless otherwise requested.

The Crown Headboard will arrive tightly compressed into a cylinder inside a Coley Home Box. We encourage customers to open the package immediately to give time for the foam to breathe.
Once you’ve discarded the recyclable plastic that once compressed the headboard, let the foam come to full structure and lay it flat in an open space. We suggest letting your foam breathe for a few hours to prove its resiliency.
While you wait for the foam, you can unpack your Coley Home slipcover. We ship it to you folded, and there should be minimal creasing, but we are no stranger to a steamer, if necessary!
Stand the headboard straight up and begin applying the slipcover over the foam. We think it works best when you line up the middle point on the top and adjust the sides before tugging the slipcover over the foam. Don’t worry, the slipcover should be tight, keep tugging!
Once you’ve pulled the slipcover over the foam, lay the foam flat & line up the bottom corners. You will see a zipper lining the bottom of the cover. Keep in mind – this should be tight.
Zip the cover completely, place the headboard against your wall, and voila!
Our slipcovered headboard is made of 100% CertiPUR-US® foam. It is:
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
To keep your custom headboard slipcover in the best condition, dry cleaning is the best option. Spot cleaning is also a good idea for minor stains. Only use a mild water-free solvent. Allow the Slipcover to dry naturally. Please see our care guide for more details.

We are so excited for you to see your Crown Headboard. All orders placed before 2 PM (EST) will be entered into production that day, any orders placed after 2 PM will go into production the following business day. Our Crown Headboards are manufactured within a five to ten business day window. As soon as your bed is packaged and ready for shipping, you will receive an email from our team with a UPS Ground Tracking link to follow.
The Crown Headboard will arrive compressed and rolled in a tall box. You will find your slipcover folded on the top of the box (or bottom). While not typical, if you have a multiple item order, it may arrive in different deliveries on different days, but our team will keep an eye on each tracking number until it is marked delivered.
Because our items are made to order, we are only able to accept returns for manufacturing or quality issues. We stand behind our products, and we hope you’ll love them as much as we do.
