She creates the most beautiful yet functional interiors, and we always love seeing what she's working on for each client. Read on to see how she styled Coley Home pieces in several of her clients' homes.

Before becoming an interior designer, I was a federal agent in Washington. At the academy, I was the only woman in my graduating class and the youngest trainee. The experience taught me resilience, discipline and confidence in my instincts, which I rely on today.
After I had my first son, I decided to make a career change that better fit with my lifestyle. I was confident in my ability to reimagine spaces in a way that supports how people live, and having grown up with an entrepreneurial mom, I felt inspired to build something of my own. I combined my passion for design and art with my strengths in problem-solving and multitasking and opened Decor & More Design Studio in Metro Detroit in 2020.
Now I get to live out my dream, working with a wonderful team of women and designing spaces that help create a better life for our clients.

Coley Home is always a go-to for us when sourcing pieces for a project. The flexibility of working with both stocked fabrics and customer’s own material (COM) options make the line incredibly versatile.
We always start with how the piece will live in the space, understanding the scale, function, and overall aesthetic. Then we layer in textiles that add depth and personality. The result is a product that feels truly tailored to each client.
Having used Coley Home across multiple projects, we’ve come to trust not only the customization options, but also the quality and comfort of each piece. One of our favorites is the Lindy swivel, as it’s both stylish and functional, making it an easy addition to a variety of spaces.

Over the years, my style has become more confident and bolder. I absolutely love color and pattern for the personality and depth they bring to a space, and it is often where clients need the most guidance. Learning to trust my eye has allowed me to gently push boundaries and take risks, knowing that is typically where the magic happens!
It’s a blend of instinct and intention that allows us to create spaces that feel elevated, collected, and completely unique. We are not interested in following trends. Instead, we focus on creating rooms that balance a sense of play with a timeless foundation.
In my own home, I joke that nothing is ever really “done” because I am constantly shifting things, layering in new pieces, or tweaking as I go. I think that is part of what makes a space feel alive.
That said, a room feels complete to me when you walk in and there is a sense of ease and happiness. You’re not scanning the room thinking about what still needs to be finished. Instead, it feels settled, intentional, and comfortable.
I also believe a room should continue to evolve over time. The best spaces are not static, they grow with you, your life, and your needs. It is less about reaching a final “done” moment and more about knowing when a space feels right in this season.
I don’t love the idea of design rules because every project is so different and should be treated as its own story. Good design is really about understanding the space and how a client lives, rather than following a certain rule.
That said, one “design rule” I like to break is the idea that a room should stick to just one metal finish. I prefer mixing metals to add depth and character, creating a look that feels layered and intentional rather than overly matchy or flat.
That is … as long as it’s not brushed nickel. It’s one finish I tend to avoid, as it can feel a bit flat or dated in many spaces.
I always want a client’s home to feel like a reflection of their personality and lifestyle first. That is the foundation of every project. Our role is to take that foundation and build on it with fresh ideas, perspective, and creativity they may not have considered on their own.
It’s a collaborative process, where we listen closely to how they live, what they are drawn to, and what feels important to them. We then translate that into design choices that feel elevated but still very personal.
In our dining room, we have a vintage 1800s oil portrait of a man we haven’t been able to identify. I found it at an estate sale (I love estate sale hunting) and named him William.
My husband is a history buff (even wrote a book on the Civil War), so William felt like an appropriate addition. He hangs on Brunschwig & Fils’ “Birds and Thistle” wallpaper, with a bubble chandelier over our table, which is how I would describe my house: a balance of traditional meets modern.
William is a conversation starter – which I love adding to rooms! It’s a visually engaging space, personal to our family, and timeless.
I’d really like to use more oranges and butter yellows in upcoming projects. They strike that balance between warmth and optimism, with a softness that can feel both vintage and current at the same time.
I love the idea of them showing up in wallpaper or fabric, such as upholstery or window treatments. They are colors that shift the mood of a room and add that subtle layer of joy and personality.
I love anything Jasmine, or citrus blossom. They smell clean, fresh and always a mood-booster. I typically don’t like any scent that is dessert-related, as it can be too sweet or overpowering, or honestly just make me too hungry!
