Coley Home Spotlight: Huff Harrington Design

Meet the creatives behind Huff Harrington Design! Recently featured in The Atlanta Home For The Holidays Show House, we adore their fresh yet traditional spaces. They masterfully blend the old with the new and we love following along to see what they're designing next. Read on to see how they styled their Coley Home piece in the show house. Tell us about yourselves & how you got to where you are today!  Trudy was born and raised in Piqua, Ohio, though people are often surprised I’m not a born and bred Southern belle. I currently lead Huff Harrington Design as Lead Designer, where I bring a refined design sensibility, thoughtful approach, and a little optimism to every project. Before fully stepping into interiors, I honed my spacial design skills through l leadership roles with brands including Gap, Spanx, and Serena & Lily. Frequent trips to France – where I assist with international design projects and installations – have shaped my signature approach: blending old and new with a playful, unexpected twist. Outside the office, you’ll often find me strolling Chastain Park with my handsome Lab, Beau, or enjoying a lively dinner out with my husband, glass of bubbly in hand. Emma Caroline Lee has spent years with Huff Harrington honing her eye through countless design projects. Prior to that she tackled the world of luxury PR launching fine art, fashion and hospitality brands in Atlanta. While her heart lies with traditional themes she loves to create a mix and to elevate designs through fabrics and custom pieces, building a story around our clients’ existing furnishings. Her love of classic and traditional design is a perfect complement to the Huff Harrington mix of antique and modern. When she’s not designing, you can find her spending time with her adorable young family or traveling. One of the most meaningful parts of our work is connecting with clients. We take the time to really listen, understand their stories and the pieces they love, and translate their vision into spaces that feel personal, sophisticated, and always chic. You recently selected 2 Twin Claremont Beds - Charles with a fabulous brushed fringe. Walk us through the design process! One of the elements that grounded the design of the room from the very beginning was a fabulous imported antique settee we found in the South of France. Its sassy curves immediately set the tone, so it was important for us to find bed frames that echoed that curvy softness – the Charles did just that. As with any successful space, the devil is in the details. We had the most fun marrying the bed frames and settee through coordinating fabrics - ultimately choosing a stripe for the beds to bring in a tailored note. To soften the structured stripe - and of course adding a touch of unexpectedness - we finished the headboards with a brushed fringe trim from Samuel & Sons. Layered against the Farrow & Ball high-gloss walls, the subtle movement and texture was the perfect final touch, elevating the beds while tying the entire room together beautifully.  The Claremont bed - Charles How would you describe your style? Classic at its core, with a deep reverence for both contemporary and antique influences.  You have a design branch in both Atlanta and Paris. Do you often try to incorporate European influences throughout your design projects in the US?  It truly works both ways – we’re constantly inspired by both sides of the pond. That said, there’s something especially compelling about incorporating a piece of French history into our state-side projects. A beautiful European antique has an effortless way of adding depth, soul and a bit of “crunch” when layered into a modern or traditional home. We always aim for a home that feels classic and lived-in.   If you had to pick one, what is your favorite project to date?    That’s a difficult question, as each project is deeply personal to each client. Knowing their story, understanding the heirlooms they cherish, and creating designs that reflect their lives make every project meaningful in its own way. What aspect of Parisian lifestyle do you adopt in your everyday life?   I’ve always admired the ease of the French lifestyle – lingering over meals, choosing quality over quantity, and treating everyday rituals as small indulgences. And of course, there’s the skincare… a daily reminder that a good cream can, in fact, solve almost everything!  What’s a wallpaper or fabric you are dying to use in a project?  Tough question because there are so many that are on our radar but I recently stumbled across the most adorable wallpaper by Jordan Connelly  that would be the perfect addition to a  family vacation home. Favorite coffee table book? Well, at the moment , we are gushing over the most recent Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle magazine because Huff Harrington Design made the cover! What is your most requested design feature?   ‘The Mix’ of new  & old The mix – layering new with old to create spaces that feel collected, not decorated. It’s about balancing contemporary pieces with character-rich antiques to achieve spaces that are timeless, personal, and truly lived-in.

Coley Home Spotlight: Megan Molten

Meet Megan! Based in Charleston, SC, she's the Founder and Chief Creative Director of Megan Molten Design + Shop. With her signature mix of modern flair and Southern charm, Megan creates bright, welcoming spaces that feel like home. We’re obsessed with her eye for detail and love how she brought her Coley Home favorites to life in her serene, family-friendly living room. Tell us about yourself and your journey to a successful interior design business and storefront! I studied business and marketing in school and, right out of college, landed a great job in medical sales. I spent 12 years in that industry, which gave me the opportunity to purchase my first home on my own. When I started designing and decorating my home, I shared the process on social media, and to my surprise, people loved it! I never realized I had a distinct style until I started receiving such a positive response. Around that time—when I was 31 or 32—many of my friends were also buying their first homes and asking for my help. We were all working with tight budgets, but I documented every project, sharing before-and-afters on social media. Again, people really responded to my aesthetic, and that’s when it started to click for me—I truly loved design. I never imagined it would become my career, but as I started taking on paid clients in addition to my full-time job, I realized: Wait, this is what I love. My corporate job? Not so much. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Charleston was booming, especially during COVID, and people were moving here in droves. I was able to establish a strong brand and a signature design aesthetic, which has been key to our success. It’s authentic to who I am and what we do, and I think people are drawn to that. Today, we have a luxury interior design business serving Charleston and beyond, as well as a retail store—both a brick-and-mortar location and an online shop. We’ve also expanded to include a warehouse where we manage our online store and house merchandise for our design clients. And beyond that, we have licensed collections in lighting, mirrors, wallpaper, and more to come! What’s your starting point when designing a living room? Do you typically begin with furniture, color, or something else? Lately, we’ve been starting with wallpaper, paint, or a fabric print because clients are craving color more than ever. Once we establish that focal point, the rest of the room naturally falls into place. How do you find the balance between aesthetics and functionality when designing frequently used spaces like living rooms? These days, performance fabric is a must. Almost all of our clients expect it on their upholstery—it’s just become standard. The great thing about working with a designer is that we have access to an incredible variety of high-end performance fabrics that aren’t available to the average consumer. So, we can create spaces that are both beautiful and incredibly durable. Our clients have kids, grandkids, pets—they live an indoor-outdoor lifestyle, especially here in Charleston. Everything we design has to stand up to that while still looking stunning. It’s all about finding that perfect balance of style and function. What is one design element or trend you always try to incorporate into your projects, no matter the size or scope? When clients hire us, they expect creativity and personalization. It’s our job to push them beyond their comfort zone and introduce ideas they wouldn’t have considered on their own. That’s part of the value we bring! We don’t want to do what everyone else is doing—we want to create something fresh, unique, and exciting. What are your favorite areas to splurge when decorating your home, and favorite places to save? Lighting—splurge always! It’s like jewelry for your home. You want the real thing, not the knockoff. There’s a noticeable difference between good lighting and bad lighting, and if you cut corners here, it shows. For key spaces like kitchen pendants, dining room chandeliers, and powder bath sconces, invest in high-quality lighting—it makes all the difference. But in areas like guest rooms, guest baths, and kids’ rooms, you can save by opting for stylish but more affordable options, like Mitzi lighting. Another area where you should never skimp? Upholstery. Your main furniture pieces—your sofa, your chairs—these are things you use every single day. It’s like a mattress; you want it to be high quality, comfortable, and built to last. Other categories can go either way. With wallpaper, for example, you can splurge on grasscloth or save with vinyl. For rugs, wool is a luxury option, but polypropylene can be a great budget-friendly alternative. It’s all about knowing where to invest and where to cut costs. What are your go-to places for inspiration when designing new spaces? Our sample library is a huge source of inspiration. We receive so many incredible materials—wallpapers, fabrics, finishes—and we’re always waiting for the perfect project to use them in. I also love drawing inspiration from a project’s location. For example, if we’re designing a home in the Bahamas, we take in the colors of the palm leaves, the ocean, the sand, and think, Oh my gosh, this is the perfect project for that lime-green palm print wallpaper we’ve been dying to use! Color is such a huge part of our design process, especially in Charleston, but exploring other places and seeing how different environments influence color is a really fun way to get inspired. What are your favorite Coley Home pieces to incorporate in a living room? The Upholstered Bennett Sofa—hands down! We’re actually using it in a project right now with Lilly Pulitzer and Lee Jofa. It’s upholstered in the new Lilly fabric, and we added the cutest little skirt to give it a fresh, modern take on a traditional shape. It’s perfection. I also love the Loza Chair. We’ve used it in a few projects now—it’s big, cozy, and oversized but still has that modern silhouette. That’s what I love about Coley Home—they take classic shapes and reimagine them in a fresh, modern way. Plus, everything is made in North Carolina, which our clients love.

Coley Home Spotlight: Caroline Boykin

Meet Caroline! Based out of Raleigh, NC, Caroline creates the most incredible artwork, from intricate paintings to delicate sculptures. Read on to learn all about Caroline and how she styled her Coley Home pieces. Tell us about yourself and how you got to where you are today! Hey Coley Home! I am Caroline Reehl Boykin, a fine artist based in Raleigh, North Carolina and my work is inspired by the spirit of everyday life. For the past 15 years I have had the honor of creating artwork for clients all over the world. My paintings are filled with elements of nature, architecture, and form using many mediums. I find that unique color interactions within my paintings capture viewers and bring them into a conversation of life and movement. Through the use of porcelain, acrylic paint, and gold and silver leaf, I paint multi-dimensional works that transcend a subject and allow the viewer to decipher meaning. I have always loved to create. My childhood on the Alabama coast cultivated my enchantment with art and southern culture. Touches of this admiration for Southern hospitality and grandeur are seen today flowing through my paintings. While in college, a summer of studying figure drawing in Florence, Italy led me to the realization that being an artist was in my bones. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!!) where I focused on ceramics, but I have always had a true passion for all mediums in art. Today I am blessed to have my studio right here in my home so that I can jump between businesswoman and momma easily. My husband, two girls, and bulldog, Blue, provide me with as much support as they do inspiration to my paintings! Caroline's Website How would you describe your artistic style in your own words? My work is rooted in the rituals of everyday life - morning light, the scent and shapes of flowers from our garden, my girls' infectious giggles, or an ice-cold martini my husband makes me after a long week. These moments are sacred rhythms woven into my paintings. I think my artistic style is a nice combination of Modern and Feminine. How do you approach mixing color and texture in your pieces? Color and texture are such important aspects of my work! In my Le Pointe collection, mixed color combinations are the foundation and the starting point of each painting. Once the squares of color are chosen for the painting, I then come back with more colors but in small marks to create a dance between the squares. When mixing the paint for these marks, I whip my paint to a frosting-like consistency to create little dots of texture. This mesmerizing texture creates the smallest shadows that move throughout the day as light moves across the painting. Caroline used a pair of Bongo Stools in COM (Customer's Own Material) to create the perfect accent pieces for her living room! Where do you personally look for inspiration? Everywhere! Small and simple moments inspire me most as of late. There is beauty surrounding us always, we just have to take the time to find it. This is what I want the viewer to feel when taking in my artwork. To admire the painting with an exhale and to get lost in a memory. I find myself within each scene of my Pout paintings. Do you have any tips for mixing art with furniture and decor in a room? My only tip is to purchase art that you love, and not just because it matches your couch! I find a home much more inviting and beautiful when it is filled with interesting art. What are your favorite areas to splurge when decorating your home, and favorite places to save? My favorite places to splurge and save are the same - antiques! Sometimes you find the save of the century in an antique chandelier or the biggest splurge in an antique Klimt sofa. Whether a splurge or a save, antiques are always necessary. Is there anything more fun than the thrill of the hunt? Most treasured piece in your home (besides your own art)? We have the cover of my great grandmother's bible framed and hung in our kitchen. My great grandmother Leavie, whom my oldest is named after, was born in the late 1800s and I inherited her bible which was so loved and used that it was held together by duct tape. We (very carefully!) took off the cover that is inscribed with her name and framed it in a gorgeous antique frame. It brings me so much joy to see it every day, a sweet reminder of my beloved family and what a matriarch looks like. What is your favorite spring or summer recipe? Food or cocktail! So many! We love to eat in my house! In the spring and summer, it’s anything made with in-season produce from our local Farmer's Market. We also love a skinny Piña Colada for a fun cocktail/mocktail around the pool. It's just blended coconut water, a little pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, and ice. When my girls aren't partaking, a splash of rum makes it even tastier! Thanks, Caroline!

I always have sunglasses, my wallet, a lipgloss and a few extra pacifiers in my bag to get me through the day.  Favorite winter/cold weather recipe (dish or cocktail, your choice!) Meet Jamie Kirkman, founder of Jamie Kirkman Interiors! Jamie takes a pragmatic and creative approach to her designs, incorporating custom furnishings, special collections, and curated art. With over 25 years of experience, Jamie has perfected her design techniques and was recently featured in the Atlanta Home For The Holidays Show house. She featured Coley Home chairs in the dining room and we are obsessed with how they turned out! Read on to see how she styled her Coley Home pieces in the show house. Tell us about yourselves & how you got to where you are today! I've always been drawn to creating spaces that feel both beautiful and lived in, and my path into interior design began through hands-on learning and mentorship. Today, my approach is all about understanding my client and their personalities, how they move through their homes, and what matters most to them. I believe the best design reflects who you are while elevating your everyday life. I feel incredibly fortunate to do work I'm passionate about alongside clients who trust me with their most personal spaces. You recently selected (6) Evans Dining Chairs in COM with Mont Blanc, Blush Welt, and Bleached Oak Finish, as well as (2) Evans Dining Chairs in Miller, Taupe with a Mont Blanc, Blush welt, and Bleached Oak Finish for your Dining Space in the Atlanta Home for the Holidays Showhouse. Walk us through the design process!  The lines of the Evans chairs were exactly what I wanted for the showhouse dining chairs. We then selected fabrics that could stand out against other beautiful features in the room while complementing the chairs' style. The geometric pattern on the COM chairs worked perfectly with the small scale of Miller Taupe, while the Blush Welt tied the chairs together to create a cohesive design. The Evans Dining Chair - COM The evans dining chair - Miller, Taupe with a Mont Blanc, Blush welt Do you have any tips for selecting the perfect COM for a space?  When choosing COM fabrics, I focus on the room's function first, selecting options that are both beautiful and durable enough for daily use, helping clients find something they truly love and that suits their lifestyle. How would you describe your style?  I'd describe my style as refined organic luxury. I love layering natural elements like wood, stone, and greenery with sophisticated details like brass fixtures and sculptural lighting. I aim for spaces that feel both curated and livable, while reflecting the client’s personality and lifestyle. What is the most important detail when designing a dining room? Lighting is everything. It sets the entire mood for gathering and entertaining. Beautiful ambient lighting that makes everyone look and feel their best. The table should allow for comfortable conversation with chairs that are comfortable enough that guests actually want to sit in for hours, and the overall space should encourage people to linger and feel the atmosphere. What is your favorite space that you have designed in your personal home?  I love our primary bedroom. It's calming and restorative, designed as a true sanctuary with minimal furnishings and a soft, soothing palette. What are your go to places for inspiration when designing a new space? I love flipping through design books and following European interiors on Instagram for fresh perspectives. What is your favorite coffee table book? John Derian Picture Book There's something about his eye for beauty in the overlooked that really resonates with me. Thank you, Jamie!

I purchase a fresh, beautiful oversized wreath every year. It’s something timeless and instantly sets the tone for the season without feeling overdone but still elevated.  We have to ask! What’s currently in your bag?  Oh gosh, a full mix of things!

Coley Home Spotlight: Cathy Rhodes Interiors

Meet Cathy Rhodes of Cathy Rhodes Interiors! Cathy is a fabulous designer who was recently featured in the Atlanta Home For The Holiday’s Show house. We loved hearing about her design process and the small details she uses to make her spaces spectacular. Read on to learn how Cathy styled her Coley Home pieces!  Tell us about yourselves & how you got to where you are today! I started my design firm in 2001 and have been designing elegant homes in the southeast ever since.  With an MBA from Vanderbilt and 9 years in corporate finance I decided to turn my weekend hobby into a career. You recently selected The Claremont Bed - Monarch, the Dakota Dining Chair and The Shiitake Ottomans in your space in the Atlanta Home for the Holidays Show House. Walk us through the design process! My inspiration for this guest bedroom was my two grown daughters who now live in NYC.  Thinking about redesigning my daughter’s childhood bedrooms into more sophisticated guest bedrooms that they look forward to coming home to stay in.  I wanted to create a tranquil oasis for my daughters and other guests.. Lavender is such a calm color and is wonderful for a guest room because its somewhat unexpected.  I selected the Galbraith and Paul Fern pattern first and worked with Liz Galbraith to custom color the fabric in the perfect shades of lilac and lavender.  And then we found two other Galbraith and Paul fabrics that we could add in touches of soft greens and blues. Selecting a beautiful bed was next.  The scalloped Claremont Bed was perfect because the scallop detail added the feminine touch I was looking for.  Upholstering it in Holland Sherry’s velvet mohair gave it the coziness I envisioned.  The Dakota Dining Chair works beautifully as a desk chair.  And the Shiitake Ottomans are just fun and can go anywhere in a room.  I have used them in many clients’ homes and just love them.  They are fun at the foot of this bed but can also be pulled into a dressing room or a dressing table or used as an ottoman with your favorite reading chair. What is your favorite thing about designing for a  show house? How is it different from designing for clients? Show houses are an opportunity to truly display your creativity without any restrictions.  It's the chance to do something a little daring and unique. What is your starting point when designing a bedroom?  For a bedroom I always start with a beautiful fabric that can set the tone for the room.   What is a small detail you always include in bedrooms you design?  I always include a pretty long pillow on the bed in addition to the shams. What are your go-to places for bed linens?  Gramercy Home is my favorite.  They carry many beautiful bedding lines including Matouk and Sferra and they are so easy to work with. Where do you splurge vs. save in the bedroom? I usually splurge on the drapery and the decorative bedding because it has the biggest impact on a bedroom.  If we need to save then I like to save on the sheets by buying simple white sheets to go with the pretty decorative duvet and shams.  What is your favorite space in your home?  My favorite space in my home is my dressing hall because its my pretty little retreat from the rest of the house and I love starting my day there. What is a design trend you hope stays forever? Lucite!  I love lucite pieces because they add a modern touch when you need it to a traditional space and its the ideal material when you need something that is not too heavy and will not take away from other things in the room. Just like the lucite etagere in this guest bedroom. What is your favorite coffee table book? The Decorated Home by Meg Braff.  The photos are beautiful and the way she wrote about each project feels like you are sitting in her living room have a casual conversation about design.  She’s a great college friend of mine so I love seeing how her personality shines through in her book. Thank you, Cathy!

Meet Crystal! Based in Charlotte, NC, with her husband and three children, she’s the creative behind Garden & Grace—your go-to for elegant, classic home and garden inspiration. We love her traditional yet effortless style! Read the blog to learn all about Crystal and how she styled her Coley Home pieces in her little boy's bedroom.  Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start Garden & Grace?  Hi! I’m Crystal Moore, founder of Garden & Grace, a lifestyle brand focused on classic living. My biggest joy is being a mom to three young kids and sharing this life with my high school sweetheart and husband of 10 years in our hometown of Charlotte, NC. With an unconventional path, filled with a career in healthcare administration, I started Garden & Grace during covid as a creative outlet and with no real business plan. But as the daughter of a home builder and a lifelong architecture enthusiast (heightened by my time living in Birmingham, AL and Chicago, IL), I’ve always loved everything about a home and what it represents. Almost 4 years later,  I still pinch myself that I get to share this passion with the Garden & Grace community. You recently redecorated your son’s room. Walk us through the design process!  We moved into our home two years ago, right before I had my third, and my oldest son’s bedroom was such an afterthought. I knew I would want to go back and give him a proper room and finally got around to it just shy of his 6th birthday! I started with combing through inspiration I had saved through the years and noticed  a recurring theme of Americana-style rooms. So I started with a framed vintage American flag and tattersall rug, two quintessential design elements to define the room.  I used those elements to select the fabric for my son’s  Coley Home headboards and from there layered on bedding, lighting and other decor.  Get the Look The Twin Crown Headboard - Charles in Nola, Blue with Belgian Linen, Dark Blue Welt Shop Now What advice do you have for anyone who might be in the process of redecorating a kids’ room?  Designed by Clary Bosbyshell Start with the pieces that you can’t stop thinking about and build your design from there. And don’t get caught up in creating the perfect room with everything you see in a room on Instagram or Pinterest. Most are staged and designed without a budget. Remember, kids will use their room so design it with that in mind! Finding a reliable contact for a home project can be challenging. How do you go about sourcing professionals for your Trusted List of Home Experts? Designed by Anne Pearson Design, Photography by Dustin Peck Photography The Garden & Grace Directory was born out of the constant request from followers for good, reliable home professionals in their cities. It’s now a trusted source with over 45 professionals recommended by a trusted designer, friend or that I’ve personally used. It’s all about curating a mix of professionals for any project all that exemplify honesty, quality work and align with the Garden & Grace style. It’s still new (just over a year old!) so I’m excited to see how it continues to grow and be a trusted source for home projects. Interested companies can apply here. What is your most requested product from your followers? Designed by Whitney Sturge Interiors, Photography by Dustin Peck Photography Lighting! Whether a side table lamp, pleated lamp shade or pendants over a kitchen island, it’s a popular topic and one I love to share!  What are your favorite areas to splurge when decorating your home, and favorite places to save? Design by Caroline Gidiere Design Design by James Farmer Inc, Photography by Upholstery and rugs, hands down. I like to buy those new and to last. They anchor the room and everything else falls in around them. I usually source accessories and artwork from antique malls and estate sales – which can lead to some really good deals and unique pieces! Favorite spring recipe? My signature dish, year round but especially this time of year,  are deviled eggs. I add a touch of dijon mustard, finely chopped dill pickles and sprinkle with paprika to top them off.  They always go fast!

Coley Home Spotlight: Molly Basile

Meet Molly! Based in Charleston, SC, Molly designs amazing traditional, yet fresh spaces. We love how she masterfully uses pattern and color to create beautiful spaces that are both chic and practical. Read on to learn all about Molly! Tell us about yourself and the incredible design firm you have built? Molly Basile Interiors is a full-service boutique residential design firm. I started my design business about 6 years ago in Charleston, SC. Our projects range from furnishings, renovations, or new construction where we work with clients on all stages of design from start to finish. When I’m not in the studio or on a site visit, I’m typically enjoying time with my husband, our two children and friends. How would you describe your aesthetic? Fresh traditional with a mix of colors, textures and personal touches. I love mixing in modern accessories, artwork, or lighting with classic textiles. Being by the beach a lot of our projects tend to incorporate coastal elements; blues and greens are neutrals in my book. You recently chose a pair of Lindy Swivels in Como, Kelly Green with a Como, Robin's Egg contrast welt. Walk us through the design process of this room. We were honored to be selected to design a bedroom in the Charleston Symphony Designer Showhouse this past spring. We wanted the guest bedroom to reflect our traditional style and approach to design. We started with the leading fabric that was a blue and green floral stripe and chose to paint the room from floor to ceiling in a soft blue hue to create a relaxing and comforting space. Your Kelly Green and Como fabrics were the perfect complement to the fabric throughout the space. The green chairs added a fun pop in front of the traditional fireplace and the blue welt was a nice, thoughtful detail. Adding a trim or contrast piping is a fun way to add layers and visual interest throughout a room. Get the Look The Lindy Swivel In Como, Kelly Green with Como, Robin's Egg Welt If you had to pick one, what is your favorite project to date? I’m honestly not sure that I can pick a favorite, we have had so many fun projects with amazing clients over the last few years! My husband and I renovated our 1950’s colonial style home about 5 years ago and that was a labor of love – one that I learned so much from. Favorite areas to splurge when designing a home, and favorite places to save? I love to splurge on custom window treatments and custom rugs when designing a home since they can serve as the base layer for a design. Areas I mix in some savings tend to be accessories, small occasional tables or small case goods and even some pretty ready-made throw pillows. Favorite paint color at the moment? Borrowed Light by Farrow and Ball - this was the color we painted the Showhouse bedroom. It’s just the right amount of color while being the perfect subtle backdrop. It’s the prettiest light blue without feeling baby blue. Wallpaper you are dying to use in a project? De Gournay in a dining room or entry is at the top of my list! I just heard Hannah Cecil Gurney, Director of De Gournay, speak and hearing about the design process and spirit behind their work was inspiring. Tips for making a home look beautiful but also family friendly? I tend to use durable upholstery fabrics and area rugs and add pattern and interest through pillows, drapery trim and accessories. Performance fabrics are good for little ones and the pattern and color help hide a little wear and tear. When styling, I love to create little vignettes or moments throughout a home to add personal interest and tell a story. Incorporating family photos or even a little one’s recent art project can make a home inviting and a true reflection of those who live there. Go-to places for design inspiration? When working on new projects, I still find inspiration and beautiful spaces on Instagram and Pinterest. But ultimately traveling and exploring new places brings so much inspiration! What do you love most about living in Charleston? There is truly so much to love about Charleston! The charm, history, food and the beach of course! But one thing not everyone may realize is that Charleston has such a sense of community and is incredibly family friendly. It’s a wonderful place to raise children while also growing a business. What’s your current favorite restaurant? The food scene in Charleston is so good! We are spoiled by so many choices! We have recently been loving Lowland downtown. I suggest grabbing a drink and oysters at The Quinte next door before dinner. Another tried and true - Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island has been my favorite since moving here in 2015.  Favorite coffee table book? Home at Last: Enduring Design for the New American House by Gil Schafer is a new favorite! Favorite place to travel? Italy! But I’m very excited for a big trip this month to Spain and Bordeaux, France. I love exploring and discovering new places - the people, culture and food!

Meet Kevin! Based in Atlanta, GA, he is an incredible designer of both products and interiors. We love his youthful, yet sophisticated style and are always excited for his latest creations. Read on to learn more about Kevin and how he incorporated some of our pieces in his home! Tell us about yourself! I’m a designer and Creative Director based in Atlanta. I started a design blog in high school, sharing original design projects there and on my Instagram @kfogara, which lead me to launch my own design studio and brand in college and work on both residential projects and my own product line including original area rugs and artwork under Kevin Francis Design. I’m now Creative Director for the furniture company and showroom Holland MacRae here in Buckhead. I live in Midtown with my two poodles Leopold and Persephone! How would you describe your aesthetic? I describe my style as “New Regency Style” – a playful nod to the airy English Regency aesthetic and the edge of glamour found in old Hollywood design. Growing up in the South gave me an appreciation for the proportions of classical design, and I love to mix styles and utilize a contrast of new and old for a more collected look. You recently added the Bella Ottoman in Mohair, Herb and a Mia Shin Toaster in Reynolds, Lime to your home. Walk us through the design process of the room! Each room in my apartment started with a strong color direction, and the hue for this space was olive green. I found the Lee Jofa fabric for the panels above my sofa and pulled both the olive and more lime-green color from this fabric, and utilized them to create a new rug leopard print design for this space as well (coming soon)! I love the texture of mohair! Get the Look The Bella Ottoman in Mohair, Herb with Walnut Legs The Mia Shin Toaster in Mohair, Herb You are creative and talented in so many ways - you’re an artist and are now making rugs! Where do you get your inspiration? I find inspiration in my childhood home and the beautiful homes around Atlanta – we have such incredible architecture in this city. I also love looking through European shelter magazines like The World of Interiors for the layered interiors you can only find across the pond. I find that nature is my favorite place to find color palettes, and luckily Atlanta is also an incredible jungle of floral inspiration. Favorite areas to splurge when designing a home, and favorite places to save? I find that the foundational pieces you need to perform like upholstery, rugs, and large tables are worth investing in, and decorative accents like lamps, side tables, and accessories are worth hunting for (I love to spend time searching vintage markets for these). My surprising place to save may be drapery, because there are fantastic affordable pleated options available now. Favorite paint color at the moment? Nearly Peach by Sherwin-Williams 3 favorite Instagram follows at the moment? @studioshamshiri @funwindow @studioashby Favorite coffee table book? The Big Book of Chic by Miles Redd (another Atlanta native!) Dream travel destination? Staying at a riad in Morocco is high on my bucket list. Favorite TV show at the moment? Mary & George

Meet Sully, another one of our newest employees! She is our Marketing and E-Commerce Specialist - she does a little bit of everything around the office! Always kind and willing to help, she’s been the best addition to our small team. Read on to learn all about Sully and everything she does at Coley Home! Sully is originally from Greenville, SC! "I moved to Charlotte in 2013 and haven’t looked back! Charlotte reminds me of a bigger Greenville which is probably why I love it so much. My husband and I have two young boys (3.5 and 2) and enjoy the bigger city offerings Charlotte provides while also having a sense of community and charm." She attended the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!), and after graduating she worked for Clarke & Company Benefits, a corporate insurance agency based out of Columbia, SC. "I started working at Clarke and Co. as an intern in 2009 and came on full time when I graduated in 2011. I continued to gain responsibility and became the director of marketing & operations until I joined Coley Home this February! Having spent my entire career thus far working for the same company, I was ready for a fun change and Coley Home has been just that! Crown vs. Claremont Beds

Crown vs. Claremont Beds

Crown vs. Claremont Beds Your bedroom should be a sanctuary, and we believe that starts with your bed! We offer several styles of beds, but our most popular and customizable styles belong to the Crown Bed Collection and the Claremont Collection. Both offer similar headboard shapes and a platform bed frame, but there are some key differences between the two collections to note before making your purchase. Read on to determine which collection best fits your needs! The Crown Bed Need a custom look in a flash? The Crown Bed is our signature Bed-in-a-box! It features a 100% foam slipcovered headboard and a fully upholstered platform bed frame – no box spring needed. The foam headboard does not attach to the bed frame, but is supported between the flat wall, bed frame and mattress. The Crown Bed is part of our Quick Ship Collection, so it's handcrafted in just 10-15 business days! It'll ship via UPS, so you can unwrap your dream bedroom in no time! Choose from King, Queen, and Twin XL sizes! Customize your bed with a contrast welt for an added touch. Highly customizable, the Crown Bed is available in 6 unique shapes, over 80 fabrics, and 6 wood finishes. Read More Since the Crown Headboard is 100% foam, it will arrive tightly compressed into a cylinder inside a Coley Home Box. The foam headboard will arrive in a protective white fabric cover, with your slipcover folded up inside a dust bag. No need to remove the white covering – your made-to-order slipcover will slide right over it. Once the foam has fully expanded, you can apply the slipcover! Make sure that the seams match up with the edges of the foam, for best results. Don’t worry, the slipcover should be tight, keep tugging! Once you’ve pulled the slipcover over the foam, lay the foam flat and line up the bottom corners. You will see a zipper lining at the bottom of the cover. Keep in mind, we designed this to be very tight so that the end result will resemble an upholstered headboard! The Crown Bed Frame is a fully upholstered platform frame, so no need for a box spring! Another advantage of the Crown Bed is its versatility! Want to refresh your space? You can easily switch out the Crown Headboard slipcover! Love the bed skirt look? Check out our Crown Bed Skirt! With a 16 inch drop length and a streamlined design, our bed skirt is compatible with most standard bed frames and pairs beautifully with our Crown Headboards – just be sure to measure! Please note that our bed skirt is not compatible with our Crown Bed Frames, or with bed frames that require headboard attachment.  The Claremont Bed Ground your bedroom in sophistication with the Claremont Bed. Our Claremont Bed features a fully upholstered headboard and platform bed frame - no boxspring needed! Part of our Standard Lead Time collection, the Claremont Beds ship via freight carrier. Learn more about our lead times here.  Learn about our different shipping options here. The Claremont Bed is available in 7 unique shapes, over 80 fabrics, and 6 wooden leg finishes! Meet Rachel, one of the creators behind Follow the Find! She and her friend, Laura, started Follow the Find in 2018 and have grown their community of savvy shoppers ever since! Read on to learn more about Rachel and how she used our Porter Side Table in her home! Tell us about yourselves & how you got to where you are today! Laura and I met as neighbors on a sorority hall at Clemson University, so you can imagine that our tastes and lives have changed drastically over the years, but we’ve remained friends ever since! We’ve had so much fun creating this business and followthefind.com together. We have always had a love for sourcing fashion and interiors and love the thrill of the hunt. We currently live in the Carolinas. As our families have expanded, we are both now renovating and decorating our "forever" homes - come along with us! Was there an aha moment when you both realized you needed to start your own Instagram? Y’all have almost 90k followers now! Laura and I were both decorating our first homes after graduation - we seemed to always share our finds with each other. We started a spreadsheet of "Looks for Less" to see how many we could accumulate and to keep track of for our own reference. It was a fun challenge for us, that we then visualized and began sharing on Instagram and Followthefind.com. This is just a side hustle for both of you - tell us how you balance working full time + being a successful influencer? We started in 2018, so our lives have changed drastically since we began. What started as a hobby during our evenings and weekends has now become a business for us. The balance is just that - we have seasons where we can pour a lot of our free time into our work and others where we don't have as much time.We give ourselves and each other grace, and keep it light and fun! What is the most requested piece of furniture/product? Everyone seems to be on the hunt for affordable rugs, drapery, and sofas! You recently selected the Porter Side Table in Larson, Blue Linen - Walk us through the design process! The Porter Side Table is such a unique piece! At the time of selection, I was in the middle of a move and not quite sure where it would land. I chose the larger size because I knew that I would utilize it for a desk for occasional remote work. I tend to decorate with larger scale florals, so I knew that a more tailored stripe would be a great pairing. And, of course blue is always a winner for me! Get the Look The Large Porter Side Table in Larson, Blue Linen*  *This print is limited edition. We will not be restocking once we've sold out of this fabric. Shop Now You don’t have to tell us all of your secrets but how do you find such good dupes and deals? We shop and browse a lot!  Some of our best finds are things we are shopping for ourselves. We also are inspired by our followers who frequently reach out with requests for looks for less. It becomes a domino effect where we shop for requests, then see other items while we search, then connect the dots across retailers. What are your favorite areas to splurge when sourcing for a home, and favorite places to save? Splurge - custom drapery, outdoor furniture, original art Save - accessories, second hand wood furniture What is your favorite summer recipe? @carochambers PBJ Crumble - was a big crowd pleaser! What’s your dream travel destination? Too many to name! Would love to do a family trip through the Pacific Northwest, an adult trip to Blackberry Farm, and a summertime Switzerland and Northern Italy adventure. Favorite book or TV show at the moment? I just finished The Women by Kristen Hannah and it exceeded my expectations!

My design style is rooted in classicism – layered, warm, personal – but tempered by an emphasis on tailoring and clean lines. You recently added the BRADLEY CHAISE SECTIONAL to your home. Meet Neely! After being raised in retail, Neely and her sister, Chloe, co-founded a lifestyle accessories brand. Neely & Chloe's collection began with handbags and their offerings have expanded to interior design as well as product development consultation. Read on to learn all about Neely! Tell us about yourself! I am one half of the Neely & Chloe team (Neely 👋🏻). I was born and raised outside Philadelphia and after about 10 years in New York, I am back home with my husband and new little peanut, Hugh. My sister and I founded Neely & Chloe almost 8 years ago (which sometimes I can’t believe!). We’re lovers of all things creative, thrown together with a little bit of business drive. For a long time, our primary focus was accessories and travel goods, but we’ve just launched an interior design arm of our business, something we’ve always been passionate about! How would you describe your design style? We like things that have good classic bones with a fresh, even a little irreverent, twist. I love playing with color (and ultimately creating simpler moments as a balance) and always include a little something unexpected. We think rooms should have furniture and concepts from different eras and places, that’s what makes them special. Something you can tell the story of where you found it, bought it, or stole it (I kid!!) is always preferable to something that’s one of many. And at the end of the day, the most important thing about design is that it makes your space something you love, are proud of and are comfortable in. You included the Dressmaker Nash Swivel and Eleanor Ottoman in your baby boy’s nursery! Walk us through the design process. We have a room in our house that feels like it was destined to be a nursery, it’s small and charming with a quirky little footprint. I wanted it to feel cozy and calm and to work for future kiddos down the road.  I put a lot of my playful color instincts away and went with a gentle light blue (a neutral in my book!). A lot of the pieces for Hugh’s nursery came from the hand-me-down pieces from my parents (from my nursery really!).  We had some great English Beatrix Potter prints and a wonderful old Alphabet illustration, framed in a dusty denim blue—and reframing wasn’t in the budget. It ended up syncing up perfecting with a delicate little wallpaper print from Lewis Home x Chasing Paper. Cute tiny Radishes! That went in the bathroom and closet, and we leaned into the layered blues throughout the space. Some custom-colored fabric by Camilla Moss blended the two colors for some homemade little roman shades. With the lighter walls, I wanted another opportunity to integrate the dustier blue color into the space: enter the Dressmaker Nash with it’s contrasting trim! We went with the textured Boucle, Cream for the chair fabric with the Nomad, Oxford for the contrast welt. The narrow profile of the chair was perfect for the small space and left room for the ottoman. Get the Look The Dressmaker Nash Swivel Glider in Boucle, Cream with Nomad, Oxford Welt Shop Now The Eleanor Ottoman in Boucle, Cream with Nomad, Oxford Welt Shop Now We have been long time fans of your brand you co-own with your sister, Neely & Chloe! Do you have a favorite piece that has recently debuted? We recently launched a keepsake collection with Petite Keep that I love. The greens and pop of yellow have me thinking of spring and so relieved we’ve made it to the other side of winter! But lately I’m most excited about the interior design services we’ve added to our offering at N&C. I have always loved working on interiors for myself and friends and family, but incredibly excited about the prospect of getting to focus on this area more in my day to day (it’s made me a better employee already 😉). Go-to places for design inspiration, whether it’s for interiors or for new Neely & Chloe designs? My very boring answer is, that with this busier phase of life, Pinterest is becoming more and more valuable for me!! I still want the answer to be “travel, old movies, books” but there is something oh so functional about Pinterest. And especially as we’re taking on more projects across lots of different verticals, it’s become an incredibly valuable tool. But when it comes to light bulb moments of inspiration, we would be nowhere without our Mom!! Especially now with our work on interiors, she’s got such a great eye and is never without a creative solution to a problem. I will be 50 years old, taking design meetings and unabashedly asking if I can bring my Mom along. Chloe and I would both make her our business partner if we could, but she’s in high demand!! You always have the perfect bag to pack :) What destinations are at the top of your travel bucket list, and what Neely & Chloe bag are you taking with you? My Husband and I have been talking quite a bit about Japan lately. It’s getting higher and higher on our bucket list. I’m not sure when we will make it happen, but we’ve always loved to travel and I really do hope it’s something we get to share with our family. We are headed to Scotland this summer for a golf trip which I’m very excited for. I will definitely be packing my N&Cx Couper  luggage—should we bring this back?? And all my favorite packing cubes. If you’re not a convert yet, snag some of the Petite Keep collection while you can! My other favorite packing accessory lately is our PVC toiletry kits. I love the little ones to keep make up and skin care separate and end up using the larger one in my big tote bags to keep things organized! Favorite coffee table book at the moment? I have refocused my creative wish list at home outside— dangerous I know! This book on English Gardens has been one of my favorites for inspiration (for this 10 year down the road dream project).  My colors at home tend to live in the green/blue world so I end up wishing I had multiple copies to merchandise in every room. Favorite cocktail recipe? A gin gimlet is my go-to order, but if I’m feeling up to the task, I love an egg white cocktail. A gin sour is simple and one of my favorites. 2 oz gin 1 large egg white ¾ oz fresh squeezed lime juice A dash of simple syrup lime peel, for garnish Sometimes a dash of bitters on the top too Favorite TV show or book at the moment? Ugh, I really should be a better reader... but alas I really love a good TV show. I just watched One Day and really enjoyed it. My husband and I are slowly making our way through Fargo which is weird!! But so well done. And I’ve just started 3 Body Problem… also odd, but I’m hoping it has Westworld-like potential. My favorite ‘show’ ever is The Night Manager (really a mini series), if you haven’t seen it, pop it to the top of your list!

Meet Sarika! Based in NYC, she shares everything from beauty and wellness to incredible bridal tips. We love her fresh, yet timeless style! Read on to learn all about Sarika. Tell us about yourself! Hi! My name is Sarika and I’m an influencer and bridal stylist based in NYC. I focus on creating and sharing fashion, wellness, and beauty content as well as my travel diaries and pieces of my life (i.e., snippets of my NYC apartment and Indian culture :)). How would you describe your design style? My design style is a blend of mid century modern designs and chic New York City elements. It’s a cool-girl, conscious space but full of colorful art and decor items. I love adding nods of my Indian culture like the pichwai painting above my sofa. I like the idea of being a conscious maximalist and that really reflects in my interior design choices You recently added the Slipcovered Cab Sofa to your New York apartment! Walk us through the design process and how you selected the piece. Our New York apartment is a really beautiful, gallery like space with high ceilings and black steel floor-to-ceiling windows in each room. My husband and I wanted to make sure our space felt like a solace from the busy city while still reflecting us, so we chose a comfy, yet structured sofa that would blend seamlessly with the rest of the space. Coley Home sent over 6 swatches of potential upholstery options that we tested at various times of the day to take into consideration how it would reflect or absorb the daylight. In the end, we chose the ‘Casual’ fabric in ivory. It’s a timeless color we know will go with us to our next home.  Get the Look The Slipcovered Cab Sofa in Casual, Ivory Shop Now Favorite places to save, and favorite places to splurge when it comes to interiors? My favorite place to save on interiors is rugs! Although I’d love a few handwoven Moroccan or Persian rug in my forever home, it’s not practical in an apartment! Especially while hosting for dinner parties and game nights without a formal dining room :) My favorite place to splurge is the main furniture (seating!). Again, especially in an apartment because the comfort and durability of the sofa and/or armchairs will make or break so many experiences from work from home days to lounging to hosting friends. Who wants an uncomfy movie night?! What is one of the most inspiring places you’ve visited when it comes to design? This would have to be a tie between Mexico City and Jaipur! I love modern Mexican design and always pick up pieces for our home whenever we visit. Jaipur is any design lover’s ideal destination. The colors, intricate facades, and craftsmanship at every corner is so inspiring and will leave you in awe every time. Your wedding was featured in VOGUE! If you had to choose, which of the festivities was your very favorite. Our wedding was such a whirlwind of a week! I suppose my favorite event had to be the Sangeet. It was held at the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Miami, Florida. Beyond the beautiful venue, it was the first event both sides attended as our previous events (the henna night and haldi ceremony) were held separately at our respective family homes in Tampa.  Favorite coffee table book? My Jaipur Splendor Assouline by Mozez Singh. TV show or book you’re into at the moment? I’m currently reading “All About Love” by Bell Hooks. I also just finished watching “Big Little Lies”! Dream Travel Destination? A tie between Japan and Morocco! Two very different vibes, yes, but two places I have not yet visited and have been dreaming about for some time :)

You recently designed the Daybed in Como, Robin’s Egg for your daughter’s big girl room! Walk us through the design process. My daughter loves to play in her room, and with it being a smaller bedroom a daybed was the perfect fit for her big girl room. When I designed her nursery I picked fabrics and a wallcovering that I knew that would grow with her so when she was ready for a big girl bed I wouldn't have to totally change the design.  Her room had a beautiful accent wall covered in Iksel wallpaper , and I love bringing in the robin egg blue to bring out the blue accents in the wallpaper. We love reading books together at night in her bed, it is so cozy and beautiful.  Get the look The Daybed in Como, Robin's Egg with Abbott, White Welt and Natural Finish Shop Now Any tips for creating a kid’s bedroom that will grow with them for years to come? I always try to create spaces that are timeless and beautiful for children. I accent them with art work , toys or accessories when they are babies to define the space as a nursery. Once they are ready for a big boy or girl bed the room is easy to transition. You have a knack for creating the most serene interiors. Any tips for creating a soothing color palette that doesn’t fall flat? I love mixing patterns and colors, while the colors all might be serene I think layering different fabrics gives the room a WOW factor. Favorite places to save, and favorite places to splurge when designing a room?  I always find a room needs something unique like an antique or something vintage. Many times these special pieces can be less expensive than something new! I am always shopping at consignment shops, and antique markets to find special pieces often at a deal. I like creating interiors that are timeless so it is worth the investment up front so the space is long lasting . Often in children's rooms I shop boxed retailers for fun inexpensive accent items!  Favorite paint color at the moment? Farrow and Ball Setting Plaster Favorite coffee table book?
