Tell us about yourselves & how you got to where you are today! Trudy was born and raised in Piqua, Ohio, though people are often surprised I’m not a born and bred Southern belle. I currently lead Huff Harrington Design as Lead Designer, where I bring a refined design sensibility, thoughtful approach, and a little optimism to every project. Before fully stepping into interiors, I honed my spacial design skills through l leadership roles with brands including Gap, Spanx, and Serena & Lily. Frequent trips to France – where I assist with international design projects and installations – have shaped my signature approach: blending old and new with a playful, unexpected twist. Outside the office, you’ll often find me strolling Chastain Park with my handsome Lab, Beau, or enjoying a lively dinner out with my husband, glass of bubbly in hand. Emma Caroline Lee has spent years with Huff Harrington honing her eye through countless design projects. Prior to that she tackled the world of luxury PR launching fine art, fashion and hospitality brands in Atlanta. While her heart lies with traditional themes she loves to create a mix and to elevate designs through fabrics and custom pieces, building a story around our clients’ existing furnishings. Her love of classic and traditional design is a perfect complement to the Huff Harrington mix of antique and modern. When she’s not designing, you can find her spending time with her adorable young family or traveling. One of the most meaningful parts of our work is connecting with clients. We take the time to really listen, understand their stories and the pieces they love, and translate their vision into spaces that feel personal, sophisticated, and always chic. You recently selected 2 Twin Claremont Beds - Charles with a fabulous brushed fringe. Walk us through the design process! One of the elements that grounded the design of the room from the very beginning was a fabulous imported antique settee we found in the South of France. Its sassy curves immediately set the tone, so it was important for us to find bed frames that echoed that curvy softness – the Charles did just that. As with any successful space, the devil is in the details. We had the most fun marrying the bed frames and settee through coordinating fabrics - ultimately choosing a stripe for the beds to bring in a tailored note. To soften the structured stripe - and of course adding a touch of unexpectedness - we finished the headboards with a brushed fringe trim from Samuel & Sons. Layered against the Farrow & Ball high-gloss walls, the subtle movement and texture was the perfect final touch, elevating the beds while tying the entire room together beautifully. The Claremont bed - Charles How would you describe your style? Classic at its core, with a deep reverence for both contemporary and antique influences. You have a design branch in both Atlanta and Paris. Do you often try to incorporate European influences throughout your design projects in the US? It truly works both ways – we’re constantly inspired by both sides of the pond. That said, there’s something especially compelling about incorporating a piece of French history into our state-side projects. A beautiful European antique has an effortless way of adding depth, soul and a bit of “crunch” when layered into a modern or traditional home. We always aim for a home that feels classic and lived-in. If you had to pick one, what is your favorite project to date? That’s a difficult question, as each project is deeply personal to each client. Knowing their story, understanding the heirlooms they cherish, and creating designs that reflect their lives make every project meaningful in its own way. What aspect of Parisian lifestyle do you adopt in your everyday life? I’ve always admired the ease of the French lifestyle – lingering over meals, choosing quality over quantity, and treating everyday rituals as small indulgences. And of course, there’s the skincare… a daily reminder that a good cream can, in fact, solve almost everything! What’s a wallpaper or fabric you are dying to use in a project? Tough question because there are so many that are on our radar but I recently stumbled across the most adorable wallpaper by Jordan Connelly that would be the perfect addition to a family vacation home. Favorite coffee table book? Well, at the moment , we are gushing over the most recent Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle magazine because Huff Harrington Design made the cover! What is your most requested design feature? ‘The Mix’ of new & old The mix – layering new with old to create spaces that feel collected, not decorated. It’s about balancing contemporary pieces with character-rich antiques to achieve spaces that are timeless, personal, and truly lived-in.

Meet Lilly! Based in New York, Lilly works in Fashion PR and is one of our favorite style mavens. We can’t get enough of her effortlessly chic taste and her savvy small space apartment design! Tap through to learn more about Lilly. Tell us about yourself! Hi! I am Lilly and I am 28 years old and live in New York City working full time in Fashion PR while also creating content and styling in my free time. You recently moved to a new apartment in NYC and selected the Crown Bed in Luxe Velvet, Shadow! Walk us through the design process. I was immediately drawn to this color and knew I wanted a velvet bed. I knew it would look good in any space I put it in and also that I will have it forever. I love that it is a mix between a dark grey and a bit of a brown. It is just the coolest color, and when you add bedding, the color really pops. It was so hard deciding on the shape of the headboard but went with one I know will never go out of style! Any space-saving techniques for small New York apartments? Oh my goodness- so many! I have really learned how to minimize and get rid of things you do not need. I also installed a clothing rack on the wall for more closet space- and yes I do keep shoes in my oven! Your style is absolutely effortless, and we are obsessed! Where are your favorite places to shop? I have recently been really drawn to only purchasing vintage or second hand items and I love looking online for this at places like the real real, depop, poshmark but in person there are great vintage stores in Brooklyn. In London and Paris especially, thats where I find the best pieces. My favorite vintage store in London is called Pandora's Dressing Agency. How did your time working in press and partnerships at LoveShackFancy influence your style in both interiors and fashion? Working at LoveShackFancy completely influenced my style because I would incorporate those pieces into my wardrobe and put the Lilly spin on it. Interiors especially because Rebecca has such an amazing eye for sourcing cool home items and especially for the stores and even our offices. Go-to places for design inspiration? Instagram and magazines! I love reading Arch Digest, House Beautiful and stumbling across different home accounts. Favorite restaurant in New York? Palm Beach? Meet Molly! Based in Southwest Florida, Molly has an eye for everything beautiful - from tablescapes to fashion! We're obsessed with everything she curates. Read on to learn all about Molly! Interior Photos by Alisia Thompson Tell us about yourself! I am a Southwest Florida native with a past life in fashion merchandising and event design. Today, I share glimpses of my home interiors, favorite fashion finds, tablescape styling, and travels on my Instagram and blog. You recently designed two Dibs Swivels for your living room. Walk us through the design process! The only hard part about the process was finally settling on a style and fabric, because they are truly all so great. I ultimately landed on the Dibs Swivels because I loved the curve at the top of the chair. We have a lot of blues and greens throughout our home, so the Ringo Bay fabric felt like the perfect choice to compliment the mostly green wallpaper that’s in our dining room which sits just behind the chairs. My favorite part of the chair is the Kelly Green welt - it’s such a special touch that really gives it that custom feel! You have flawless taste in both interiors and fashion. How would you describe your design style? I would say it’s a mixture of traditional and eclectic, or timeless with a twist. I just buy what makes me happy and try not to get wrapped up into trends, especially when it comes to interiors. I love colorful and unique pieces that have a story. Your tablescapes are always stunning. What’s your recipe for the perfect table? I love a layered look. Use all the things - placemats, napkin rings, tapers, colorful glassware, tablecloths, place cards, flowers, the list goes on. They’re all like little accessories for your table; the more the merrier. We love seeing glimpses of your sister, Sarah Tucker, on your Instagram and your stylish collaborations! What are some of your favorite parts about working with your sister? Truthfully, all of them! We really balance each other out. At the top of my list is when we get to travel together for work - it never actually feels like work. Favorite summer recipe (dish or cocktail, your choice!) Cocktail: Aperol Spritz Dish: watermelon, cucumber, pickled red onion, feta, and mint salad. Go-to places to find design inspiration? I feel most inspired when I’m traveling somewhere new - taking in all of the details of an old building, strolling through a park, visiting a local museum, funky street style; inspiration is everywhere when you look for it. Favorite coffee table book at the moment? Estee Lauder: A Beautiful Life Dream travel destination? I’ve always wanted to go on Safari and I will never be able to go to Italy enough. Favorite book or TV show at the moment? I just finished Succession and am already missing it. All time favorite is Derry Girls.

I am an interior designer, mother of 2 (well, 3 if you count golden retrievers), living in Nashville, Tennessee. My firm specializes in whole house renovations and new construction homes- from the studs to pillows! Although we mainly work in and around Nashville our projects span from the coast of California to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. How would you describe your design style? Sophisticated, timeless, and liveable. I strive for an effortless mix of different design styles. You recently used the Hudson Bed in your daughter’s room! Walk us through the design process. When my daughter Tillie turned 5 we decided it was time to update her nursery bedroom into a big girl room that expressed her style. We have always said that Tillie is “sunshine”- so I guess that is what drew me towards this soft yellow print. Of course she wanted a pink room so we agreed on a Portola paint “Prayer” in their limewash finish to give it an old world feel. I wanted to keep the rest of the room very eclectic and mixed- not too perfect. Because that is very Tillie (you should see what she wears on the weekends!) SOURCES: The headboard fabric is by Namay Samay. The bedding and pillows is a mix: quilt and lampshades by Projekti Tyyny and pillows from Anthropologie, Serena and Lily and custom. The painting above the bed is by my friend Lacey Russell. The ceiling light fixture is by Stray Dog Designs. The dressing table is my grandmother’s that I restored and recovered in a Jean Monroe fabric. shop the hudson bed Any tips for designing a child’s room that they can easily grow into? Let the bedding have some personality. That is the one thing that can easily be changed throughout the years and I love to mix and match pillows and quilts to give it a more unique look. I mixed custom pillows with ones from Serena and Lily and Anthropologie. Kids are naturally going to pick the boldest, most obnoxious paint color on a paint deck so instead of painting the room a bold color add pattern and color to artwork, lamp shades, and other accessories. When designing a home, what elements do you suggest splurging on? Saving on? I suggest splurging on pillows and lighting. They are the jewelry of the house! I also recommend spending more in the rooms that you entertain in: kitchen, dining, living spaces and save/use more cost effective selections in kids rooms and secondary spaces. Go-to places to find design inspiration? PARIS! I think historic parts of Europe are the best place for inspiration. Or visiting historic cities in the US: Santa Fe, Charleston, New Orleans, etc. and staying in a nice, local hotel doesn’t hurt. Recently I stayed at the Dewberry in Charleston and soaked in every single detail! I’m also still a big fan of magazines and will always have sticky notes sticking out of my coffee table books. Favorite coffee table book at the moment? "At Home in the Cotswolds" Favorite paint color at the moment? Farrow and Ball “Green Smoke” Dream travel destination? Reschio Estate/Hotel in Italy - I stalk them on Instagram. Favorite book or TV show at the moment? White Lotus. I also just re-watched ET with my kids and am now inspired to watch all of the 80s classics.
The flowers are in bloom, and we’re getting our homes ready for spring! We combined our fun prints and beautiful solids in this space to create a fresh, bright living room. Meet Liz! Creative Director and Interior Designer, Liz curates the most inspiring spaces. Read on to learn all about Liz and her incredible taste! Tell us a little about yourself and your design style! I’m a creative director, designer and mom of two living in a historic home on the gulf coast. My style aims to have a balance of historic sophistication and elegance with a bit of childlike whimsy thrown into the mix. You recently added the Slipcovered Bradley Bumper Chaise Sectional to your family room. Give us a little background on the room, and walk us through your design process! We live in a historic greek revival style home and this is a drawing room on the back of the house. It was initially used as a dining room, so there are beautiful moldings and details, but the space is really long and not symmetrical. I wanted an exceptionally long sofa with clean lines that could anchor the space and provide a slightly contemporary touch against the historic bones. The Bradley Bumper Chaise Sectional was so perfect for this. We use this room at night mostly to be cozy, watch movies, have a cocktail and read. You are a pro at making neutral spaces feel warm and inviting. What are some of your favorite ways to create a fresh space that doesn’t look stark? I love layering different textures and having more tonal colors instead of stark contrast. If you have a linen sofa, then using nubby textured pillows along with silk pillows creates dimension and interest. I also think ambient lighting is key to making things feel cozy. I usually try to have light sources at different heights - sconces, lamps, picture lights, tucked away uplighting from the floor behind a sofa, etc. Your little ones are so precious – any tips on designing rooms that are both beautiful and suitable for families? There are so many opinions on this! For me, I use performance fabric wherever possible on upholstery. Coley Home has so many good options that it’s a no brainer! I also think it’s smart to invest in beautiful lighting, mirrors and art that can hang on a wall and not be touched by their tiny hands. I also have made a conscious decision to remember that things aren’t going to remain perfect with small children and that’s ok. I’d rather them grow up in a beautiful space and learn how to take care of things. I love beautiful objects and white fabric too much to wait on them to grow up! Not only are your interiors inspiring, but your taste in fashion is to die for! And we hear you have a collection coming out later this year – anything you can tell us about it? Thank you! A clothing collection has always been a dream of mine so I was so happy to team up with Antonio Melani and Dillard’s for this collaboration. It’s a collection of items that I’ve always wanted in my closet personally and hope that you will reach for the pieces over and over again. The collection is set to launch in August of this year!
